Just passed the usual psychological barrier (40K) on "Billy Bob's Oasis." Noah finds new information and he's following up on it, but is somewhat hesitant to go further. He will keep the newly found information under wraps until the appropriate time to reveal it.
I'll use this platform to review books I've read (and movies I've seen and are still worth watching), advertise my published books, say a few words about writing and reveal something of my world.

Subscription benefits
An American reader decided to dig into the Peter Dawes series, beginning with the first: Massacre at Fort Sage. He or she liked that one enough to plow through the next three, all complete. If the appetite for the old west persists there's one book left in the series and we'll have to see whether his/her taste is sated or whether that individual has to finish the series.
So, the answer is the reader was not sated with my novels. Finished Ghastly, Grotesque and Gruesome and then read half-way through the second novel published by Create Space: Four in a Row.
Pleasing to know that there are still readers out there and that my work is both entertaining and interesting enough to encourage them to forge ahead with more.

I'm a beneficiary of Amazon's subscription service that allows a subscriber to access all the books in their library. For example, an Italian (male/female) has read five of my listed books--complete--in the past few days. I have no way of knowing whether this welcomed attention will continue, but on his/her side of the Atlantic, the Italian definitely has got his/her money's worth out of that particular subscription.

New novel
New novel: "Billy Bob's Oasis" is well into production. Lots of characters and a water color by Peter Meadowsong will grace the cover. Ostensibly, the story is about a freelance writer and his competitor, both writing for the same magazine and both tasked to investigate the ins and outs of global warming and climate change. A murder will complicate their efforts and we'll have to see how that turns out.

Finished
ROT-CEE is out in both paperback and digital formats. It's a long book and should give you plenty of good reading as you make your way from front to back. Jim Garrett and his friend Andy Grimes have graduated and have been commissioned second lieutenants in the U.S. Army. What lies in store for them on the Korean peninsula is an unknown that raises their anxiety levels. It's probably a roll of the dice and not something to worry about every minute of the day. Go with them as they become part of what was originally called "A police action," but has become the Korean War.

ROT-CEE
Finished the first draft today. All the usual work still lies ahead, but now it looks like the book will actually be published. Got the ending I visualized and we'll see whether it works as I go through an edit of the work.

Progress
Been a while since I've posted an update to ROT-CEE. It's such an interesting write that I've been too involved with Jim and Andy to take time out to refresh my blog. As of today (6/15/25), Andy is in the hospital recovering from an appendectomy and Jim has just received orders that will send him to Japan. The next few episodes in Jim's life will be solo since Andy has to remain in the hospital to recuperate. If everything goes well, the first draft should be finished in early July.

There's been a good response to having audio books in addition to my ebooks and paperbacks, so I've decided to add that feature to other books. If you want to check out the audio versions, go to my page on Amazon (william behr mueller) to review the samples. Good reading!.

ROT-CEE
Jim and Andy are ready for their graduation and commissioning ceremonies. The finality of finishing at the university hasn't fully sunk in yet, but the aftermath of the hoopla will cause them to be more aware of their new responsibilities. How they will cope with being second lieutenants waiting for orders to report to their new assignments will test their patience.

Passed the always difficult goal of 40K today. The story seems to be heading in the right direction, but only another 20K or so will either confirm or deny that supposition. Jim and Andy are very close to graduation and commissioning. Both ceremonies will bring together their families as well as the families of the other graduates. Looking forward to more discovery as the story progresses.

Making progress on ROT-CEE. Having a good time with the characters and their journey through the academic system (as well as their social activities). More as the work progresses.

Started a novel with the title ROT-Cee. The title reflects the way cadets referred to the ROTC program. The novel begins at the University of Santa Clara with a Prolog that takes place in 1949. All of the action in the novel takes place in 1953 (right up to the armistice signing in July).
