Finished reading "Ishmael's Quest." I got as much pleasure from reading it as I did writing it (with a lot less effort expended). Aside from the enjoyment of going back to sail with the crew I had another reason to peruse the novel. The characters are so interesting that I want to examine them again in a sequel with the working title "Ships and Seals and the Sea." After the fight with Moby Dick and the destruction of whaleboats, men and the ship they sailed in (Pilgrim), Ishmael is determined to save the survivors. How he is able to pull that off is enough to keep my interest in finding out whether or not he is able to save his shipmates.
